Welcome to Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF)

The Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF) funds new research that will make a difference to people's lives - now and for future generations.

Founded in 1960, the CMRF has distributed more than $14 million to health research in the Canterbury area.

All the researchers we fund are based in Canterbury - all specific donations are applied in full to that research. An example of this is the Van der Veer Institute for Parkinson's & Brain research which came about from a generous bequest.
