The Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF) funds new research that will make a difference to people's lives - now and for future generations.
Founded in 1960, the CMRF has funded nearly $20 million to health research in the Canterbury area.
All the researchers we fund are based in Canterbury - all specific donations are applied in full to that research. An example of this is the New Zealand Brain Research Institute (Formally Van der Veer Institute) for Parkinson's & Brain research which came about from a generous bequest.
